about

I’m an interdisciplinary artist and a member of the Nlaka'pamux Nation from Lytton, British Columbia.

My work has shown at film festivals such as Rencontres internationales du documentaire de Montreal, Occupation of Memory (2017), ImagineNATIVE Beyond Hope (2016), Occupation of Memory, Victoria Film Festival Occupation of Memory (2017), and Moonrise Festival For Wildlife (2014). Her documentary short When a Heart Falls Into The River (2016) has had several group exhibitions in Vancouver BC, Windsor ON, and Toronto ON, with the TESTIFY - Indigenous Art and Law Collective.

I graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.

My goal is to make art within my homelands despite the inherent disadvantage rural artists experience with visibility, funding and general supports. I am currently devoting time to learning the foundations of Nlaka’pamux art. I’ve been fortunate to experience many creative learning opportunities such as mentorship with The Body Remembers When the World Broke Open, ImagineNative Industry Programming, VIFF Filmmaking Cohorts, Whistler Film Festival Indigenous Writing, and various other experiences.
